A. J. Johnson was set up in 1982
after 18 years experience of working in construction and on opencast
sites. With an increase towards companies subcontracting, the business
started and has not looked back.
We specialise in repairing and modifying all types
of plant, large and small, such as Cranes and Excavators, using welding and
fabrication, and also manufacture components and carry out machining to
suit customers requirements.
A. J. Johnson started overseas
contracts 17 years ago and also supplies equipment and consumables. Due
to vast experience in all types of heavy plant we can sort out all sorts
of problems. A phone call can ensure your worst nightmare is overcome,
from broken booms, side frames, buckets etc.
We will travel anywhere to carry
out contracts abroad, and sort out your problems. We can also offer
training to your local workers, and set up a maintenance programme for
your plant.
Our business has been built on the
quality of our work and the service we provide. A. J. Johnson has been
an ISO 9002 accredited organisation since 1993 and obtained the ISO 9001
2000 Revision in 2002. With our workforce commanding a variety of skills
and experience, the company can provide a repair and modification
service, and supply equipment and consumables to meet specific needs and
requirements. We also design and build in-line boring equipment for
special needs and supply a service of our own on site.
Our major customers, to name but a
few, include; Unatrac, Tractor and Equipment, Terex, Volker Stevin and work for these companies has been carried out in
the workshop and on site, in the UK, Europe, Africa and the USA.
